I went to great lengths trying to figure out a way to install Win 98 SE from msdn dvd and editing vfd file but could not get the installation started due to bad boot disk. This fixed the thing so fast. Thank you!

Thank you …

I’m a uni student and no-one I know within a hundred miles of my student hostel seems to have a floppy disk lying around. What you’ve got here is GOLD, it has taken me 3 months of intensive googling to get this far… you people are indeed my greatest heroes… thank you.

Great stuff, any chance you have the boot disk set for XP Pro with SP2? They are a different set of disks (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310994). I would do it myself, but do you think I can find a floppy disk anywhere! Of the hundreds I am been through in my life, I simply cannot find one!

This is great information. Now my question - what is the fastest and easiest way to take an existing floppy diskette and copy it to the hard disk. I really want to stack a whole bunch of them on a single CD. Some of the diskettes are bootable so I have to maintain that capability. I plan to use them inside VMware

Thanks again for your time and efforts.
