Wow…I didn’t even know this was out and it’s been there for almost a year.  This is a big time saver for adminstrators.

Remote Control Add-on for Active Directory Users and Computers
Remote Control is a small add-on that adds the option to right-click a computer account in the Active Directory MMC and choose Remote Control on that computer by opening a Terminal/Remote Desktop connection to that computer.

I saw this last week from Young Joo...

http://blogs.dreamfirst.com/youngj/archive/2005/01/25/225.aspx

Many blogs I visit regularly have a little section on the sidebar for either “Currently Reading” or “Recommended Readings”.  I thought this was a neat idea and decided to add one to my own also.  Luckly, this was not too hard.  The skin I am currently using, OneNote, already includes MyBookShelf control and it was just a matter of modifying XML file included and PageTemplate.ascx.  Steps I took to implement this control are:

1. Update books.xml with my book list: specify ISBN, title, author and image file name.
2. Update ~/Skins/Onenote/PageTemplate.ascx to include this control on the sidebar.

Easy enough… The control displayed correctly and links to Amazon.com were working correclty.  There were two things I had to fix though.  [Read the Entire Post]

He’s right…many things about my original control were annoying.  He’s made some great improvements that are worth checking out if you’ve downloaded my control and want a little more automation.

Update 1-31-05:  I got Young's name wrong the first time around...sorry!

I suppose it's a good thing I didn't delete the RSS feed I had for the now obsolete .Text forum on ASP.NET.  That's because this morning, it alerted me to this new post - http://asp.net/Forums/ShowPost.aspx?tabindex=1&PostID=812687

It seems Arian Kulp has built a bulk image uploader for .Text image galleries.

Bulkuploader

What a clever idea, Arian!  You can get the code and find out more about it at http://ariankulp.com/archive/2005/01/29/14.aspx.  I will be trying to find some time over the next few days to give this a shot.  Great contribution!
