Jim Blizzard points to the new Community Server Beta 1 Announcement.  I just downloaded the code and haven’t had a chance to install yet.  However, Ryan doesn’t seem to be too impressed.  Hopefully he’s right and this is just your typical “beta” situation.  I too, had some big expectations for this project.  Can’t wait to get the code installed and see what they’ve put together so far.

Community Server has gone beta....

You can now download Community Server Beta One. (build 2004.11.17.18694)

There will not be any source code, installer, or upgrade scripts for the beta.

As stated before, there is still a lot of to be done, but this should give you a good feel for where we are going with the project.

The download contains a readme file explaining the steps you need to follow to get it setup.
