An excellent find by Ryan Farley...limiting your searches using the Google Desktop Search application to certain filetypes.

“You can use the Google “filetype” parameter to limit the Google Desktop Search to specific file types. Simply add the “filetype” parameter with the appropriate extension to the search and you're set.” [Read the rest of Ryan's Post]

The Office team has put together an online resource for users based on the needs of specific roles like Office Managers, Controllers, HR Managers, Real estate agents, etc.  It's a collection of occupation-specific and task-specific tools - templates, demonstrations, videos, expert articles, best practices and add-in programs to help people work more efficiently.  You can visit http://www.microsoft.com/occupations to check it out.

64-bit is the hot thing right now.  There's a ton of buzz in the market about it - what will the impact have on "real life", though?  The MSDN Team has put together a great webcast series to help folks figure that out.

From November 1-5, the MSDN Team is delivering a webcast series that will help you take advantage of the sweeping change in technology offered by 64-bit computing.

·         Run existing 32-bit code without modification on 64-bit Windows

·         Write native 64-bit code (managed and unmanaged)

·         Learn about the next generation of development tools

·         Find out about 64-bit processor architectures

You can see a complete list of the webcasts (on everything from "Welcome to 64-Bit Windows Computing" to "Managed Code on 64-bit Windows Platforms") and register for one of the webcasts by visiting this site.

Bonus:  They're giving away cool stuff like a 64-bit Acer Ferrari laptop.  Here are the rules.
