InterfaceLIFT provides free icon sets for Windows and OS X available for download.  You can customize the look and feel of your desktop with icons submitted by some very talented folks.  Here's a link directly to the Windows icons - http://interfacelift.com/icons-win/.  While you're at it, there's also a great collection of high quality wallpaper from the best photographers and digital artsts on the web - http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/.

My friend Skippy passed me an invite to the Flickr Beta in the form of this photo. Is the glass half empty or half full? I'm not sure, but what I *am* sure of is that it must be good beer - the pitcher looks to have been empty for quite a while. :-)

Flickr is one part photo management tool, one part social networking tool. It's well done - nice interface and cool functionality like the "post to blog" feature I'm using now. You can also organize and share your photos with others. I plan on giving it a try over the next few days...

Nice post from Roy Osherove, Microsoft MVP, on the importance of user groups.  Do you have a user group?

Addy Santo, creator of BlogWave, sent me the following note announcing a new version of the tool:

I just wanted to let you know that there is a new version of BlogWave available. Improvement include: Less bugs (especially in the WSS adapter), slicker UI, some developer-friendly features and a new Google adapter which allows syndicating google searches.
