When I'm using the Mac (and yes, I use a Mac occasionally!), the only RSS reader out there that gives me the same "e-mailish" look and feel that I love about Newsgator is PulpFiction.  Written by the folks over at Freshly Squeezed Software, it's a fine piece of work.  Looks like the latest version, PulpFiction 1.1.1, is released.  Plus they have a lot of other neat software for OS X there as well - and cool icons created by a very talented graphics artist.

Thanks again to flex-mx for another great link.  I stumbled upon the CSS Zen Garden site quite a while ago.  As is talked about in this post, most of the designs aren't too useful.  However, you can spend hours clicking through the different CSS layouts and designs that have been submitted by web designers and graphics artists from around the world.  It's neat to see how, just using CSS, talented people can completely change the look and feel of the same content.  Or maybe it's not neat and I'm just a huge geek with too much time on my hands.

At any rate, it looks like there is now a book that goes through the ins and outs of good CSS design using the CSS Zen Garden samples as examples and illustrations.

The Zen of CSS Design is a book-version of the CSS Zen Garden, and available for pre-order on Amazon according to Mezzoblue. Wonderful idea... always nice to see great designs on paper....

Thanks to flex-mx for the link.  I saw the original iteration of this come out several weeks ago for the Linux platform.  This is (at least I think, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong!) the first windows-compatible version.  Gmail Drive worked just fine for me - the install went without a hitch and 30 seconds later I was copying data back and forth from Gmail to my desktop.  Nice idea...good execution.  A handy way to move files between machines when you don't have a USB flash drive within reach.  :-)

Looks like an improvement on the "Gmail for File Storage" hack has popped up - GMail Drive (although not perfect) creates a virtual filesystem on top of your Google GMail account and enables you to save and retrieve files stored...
